Bring me sunshine!

At last!  We've been moping around for too long in damp grey conditions, buoyed up by the belief that the second half of this week would see some high pressure and settled weather heading this way.  Last night it duly arrived.  We had a reasonable frost this morning, but that was extremely easy to swallow as it stemmed from the clear skies, which meant that we had a really lovely day.  It was just splendid.  Of course it would take many, many days such as today to dry the place out, but we won't worry about that: it was just lovely to have such glorious conditions overhead.

We had a decent frost which dissipated once the sun had been on it for a while but which stayed put right throughout the day in the places which remained in the shade, but the first day of frost is never too much of a problem as it doesn't get in too deep, so there were no worries about getting around the place as underfoot conditions weren't dangerous.  Mind you, I'm glad that I'm not at Wolverhampton this evening, where they've had to put a hiatus into the programme to harrow some snow off the track, where it will feel really grim and from which the drive home will be a long one.

But I'm wrapped up in the warm(ish) at home this evening and have Wolverhampton on the TV, as Jason Weaver and Luke Harvey entertain us with their great Friday evening show on ATR.  It's been a lovely day and I trust that tomorrow will be similar.  It'll be cold at the outset, obviously, but visibility won't be a problem: clear skies, frost on the ground and a full moon - we were saying this morning that under these conditions one could ride out at 2.00 am and visibility wouldn't be an issue.  And I'm sure that Gus will enjoy conditions too: you could jump for joy when the sun shines.
