Trying

Oh dear, we have a busy day facing us.  A day trip to Haydock is daunting enough at the best of times, but on the Friday in advance of a Bank Holiday weekend we ought to assume that the M6 will be busy on the northward journey.  So, even though Grand Liaison does not run until the last race at 5.20, we probably ought to get on the road sooner rather than later.  She'll be bidding to land a hat-trick, which is a nice position to be in.  Roy was in that position two days ago and he couldn't quite manage it, but still ran an honourable race to finish second.  Tommy (pictured coming back in after the race), also ran pleasingly (if less obviously so) by finishing fourth (albeit only of six, and beaten a fair way).  That was a glimmer of promise, so let's hope that he can build on it.  We'll keep trying, anyway.
